Our family voluntarily evacuated from our hurricane-affected area yesterday. We are enjoying far more relaxing times at a resort area in the mountains than we otherwise would be at home. We've heard from friends and neighbors that the power is out and there are many, many more hours of pounding rain and wind ahead! We're very glad to have made the decision to leave and to have had the resources to do so.
Pray with us that those who chose to stay and those who had no choice are safe and protected; and, that they find peace in God during this crazy week of earthquakes, hurricanes, smoke-filled skies and scary health concerns (for several friends).
