Happy Famiversary!

It has been one year since we met our beautiful girls, since we brought them home to live with us, and since we became part of each others’ family. It has gone by so quickly, it’s hard to believe a year could have passed. Having said that, it’s hard to believe they haven’t been part of our lives longer.

The girls have brought so much joy to us, our extended families, and all those they’ve met. They’ve given us purpose. They’ve given us love beyond measure. We feel so blessed – literally, specifically blessed by God.

From the moment we met them, they have been warm and affectionate, so ready to be loved, to be parented, to be cared for and protected. They’ve been forgiving when we’ve not handled things the way we probably should have; and, thankful and acknowledging of our efforts to do our best.

We’ve laughed together; we’ve cried together. We’ve hit the road together; we’ve just hung out at home together. We’ve dreamed together; we’ve grieved together. We’ve learned about each other and learned about ourselves.

Thank you, Lord, for these beautiful souls you’ve entrusted to us. Help us to guide them, to care for them, and shower them with Your love in all ways, for always.
