Papa's side of the family visited us over the Thanksgiving week and Grandma rented a beach house for us all to be together. Papa's 5 siblings and their families came and we had a chaotic, but wonderful Thanksgiving. It was fun to meet Grandma, Aunts and Uncles, and cousins.
We all had much to be thankful for this year, especially the girls joining our family and Grandma beating that cancer (she's looking pretty spry with her new 'do!)
One of the fun things about the house was that there was an "indoor"/enclosed swimming pool. The girls swam with life preservers and were getting very close to really swimming on their own. Unfortunately, the life preservers had a strap between the legs that chafed both girls on their upper leg. I guess they were having too much fun to notice. Nebyat had a 2-3 inch long irritation and Jetu just about 1/2 an inch. Despite the immediate application of prescription antibiotic ointment, Jetu had pretty severe cellulitis by morning. We ended up having to visit the urgent care center Thanksgiving morning because of the scary swelling. A couple days on antibiotics and she was back to normal, minus the swimming for both girls sadly. That poor girl, if there's something to be had, she'll get it!
