YeaaaaaaaaaY! - The 5th member of my friends' family has arrived. He's healthy and safe, but had to be delivered by C-Section. This would normally not be that big of a deal, except that Mommy and Daddy are due to go to Haiti and pick up his twin 2-year old brothers. Pray for a full and quick recovery for Mommy, pray for continued good health for new Baby, and pray for God to guard the twins physically, emotionally and spiritually during their remaining time at the orphanage in Haiti. Also, pray for the smoothest possible transition for this family going from 2 to 5 overnight!

Gigs and I looked at some of the websites for waiting children, e.g. www.precious.org . This may just be the place we're supposed to search for our child. We've isolated about 5 babies from the site and have requested additional information. Most of the children have some special need - they could be part of a sibling group, they could have a physical or developmental disability ranging anywhere from minor to severe, they could be older, that kind of stuff.

The nice thing is that many different agencies, countries, children, etc. are represented and in some cases you have a picture to associate a face with the child. It's very powerful and motivating to see a child. Medical records will be made available for serious inquiries and we can have a specialist consult with us on the issues associated with some of the childrens' problems. We're definitely open to more minor, correctable physical problems. Of course, the children are still at risk for institutionalization effects and all the other exposures from their short little lives.

Pray for God to lead us to the exact place for the exact child that he has picked out for us.
