Closer, but not quite There

Our agency addressed what happens after the court and why it is hard for them to predict our travel dates:

We always hope you will travel 15-20 BUSINESS days ( 30 regular days) after the court hearing however this is only a hope as there are many factors as you will see listed below.

The court decision needs to be issued – this can take several days especially since there is only one court that issues the decisions and that court sees about 30 cases a day.
Then the MOWA needs to write a final letter on your case.
Then a birth certificate can be issued for the child – 3-4 days.
Then a passport can be issued for the child – 3-4 days.
Then the child can go for TB Test – there is only one clinic that performs the TB tests according to the Embassy standards.
This clinic will only do the TB test if the child has the proper above documentation.

Once all this is accomplished – we can tell you travel dates.
There will be short notice usually as we want you to go to the soonest Embassy appt.
However if you are unable to travel on short notice – you are always then welcome to travel for the following Embassy appt. 2 weeks later.

We passed court on July 6 and the Court did not issue our final decision until Monday or Tuesday this week (8/3 or 8/4). None of the rest of the steps have been completed and the birth certificate appointment is made for next Monday and then takes 3-4 days; not to mention all of that has to be done before the girls' final required TB test. I think we can pretty much rule out departing on Saturday 8/15 for the 8/19 Embassy appointment. This means we should be in very good stead and know for sure earlier for the 9/2 Embassy appointment.

I would normally be a bit heartbroken about delays, but from a work perspective, a preparation perspective, a financial perspective, I think it works out much better for us to travel at the end of August; I just pray it's not harder in any way on the girls. God knows how much we want to get there and get our girls home, but He's in charge of the details.
